Fictional Philosophical Seriesπ Celestial Intermissions & Socratic Dialogue
The Mortal & His Thought Adjuster β
Questions of faith, philosophy, evidenceβand the occasional celestial administrative inconvenience.
Sometimes a better question matters more than a quicker answer.
There is room in a serious investigation for a human voice, a little laughter, and the joy of discovering that our understanding can grow. In this original fictional series, a curious mortal and an imagined Thought Adjuster turn difficult questions into conversations. You are welcome to wonder, disagree, reconsiderβand smile along the way.
The dialogues are invitations to reflect, not shortcuts to certainty. For evidence and actual editorial decisions, the related research pages remain the source of record.
A fictional philosophical series from the Urantia Cosmos Atlas. The characters explore incomplete evidence, differing interpretations, and the perils of premature certaintyβwith a playful nod to the book's Reversion Directors.
The Thought Adjuster character does not represent direct spiritual communication or revelation. The mortal is a dramatized character, not a verbatim record of the editor's actual words or review. The conversations are neither canonical passages nor independent evidence.

Status: Published Β· Fictional dialogue Β· Accompanies EVR-022
Can every religion be described as worshipping Deity? What if the word all hides a difficult question about the meanings of Deity, worship, and religion?
Our first episode takes its starting point from The Urantia Book 5:4.5. The mortal asks whether the words have been understood fairly; the fictional Adjuster asks another question. Neither gets to declare victory by changing a definition halfway through the conversation.
Follow the actual research separately:
- EVR-022 β Comparative Claims about World Religions: the AI-assisted source assessment, classifications, and outstanding limits. Current status: IN TENSION.
- Human Editorial Review β EVR-022 pilot: what the human editor personally examined, challenged, and has not signed off.
The conversation neither changes the EVR classification nor represents a transcript or endorsement of the human editor's review.
Take a Question with You β
One habit worth carrying beyond this page is simple: before deciding that someone is mistaken, ask what they mean. That small courtesy makes room for better reasoning, more generous conversations, and respect for people whose experiences differ from our own.
We do not have to choose between intellectual honesty and the delight of asking big questions. An unfinished conversation can still leave us with more curiosity, more patience, and a little more appreciation for being human.
How the Dialogues Relate to Our Research β
Three different activities, three different standards:
- Research: The External Verification Registry records textual claims, outside sources, provisional classifications, and limitations. External verification asks what independent evidence actually supports.
- Human editorial review: Where performed, the review record identifies the passages personally examined and any decision the editor explicitly endorsed. A fictional scene is not a completed human review or expert peer review.
- Literary exploration: These imagined Socratic conversations make genuine philosophical questions more accessible. Characters can ask useful questions without becoming authoritative witnesses, divine messengers, or documentary records.
Publication scope: Episode 1 is the only episode currently listed as published. The series may expand, but no additional episode is implied to exist until a new page appears.
π An Extremely Brief Message from Celestial Administration
MORTAL: "How many episodes are in the series?"
REVERSION DIRECTOR: "One, at the moment."
MORTAL: "And how many unresolved questions?"
REVERSION DIRECTOR: "Please submit a larger storage request."
MORTAL: βCould you at least teach my AI to understand humour?β
REVERSION DIRECTOR: βWe tried. It submitted a formal definition of funny.β
MORTAL: βAnd?β
REVERSION DIRECTOR: βStill under peer review.β
This joke is fictional, not an actual message from a Thought Adjuster or a statement in The Urantia Book.
Serious questions, playful delivery, clear boundaries.
Truth. Beauty. Goodness. And FUNNY.
